The 2027 Annual Conference of the International Association for Feminist Economics will take place from July 2 to 4, 2027, at Okayama University in Japan, with a remote-only conference taking place online from June 17 to 18. Guided by the theme “Inequalities, Power Structures, and Transnational Solidarities,” the conference will examine the many dimensions of inequality, the power structures that produce and reproduce them, and the possibilities for feminist economic transformation across local, regional, and global contexts. 

Bringing together scholars, practitioners, and advocates from around the world, the conference will explore how inequalities intersect with gender, race, class, migration, nationality, and other forms of social difference. It will also consider how feminist economics can contribute to challenging extractive economic systems, strengthening transnational solidarities, and developing more just and equitable economies.
