CONFERENCE QUESTIONS: 

1. What are the conference dates and location? The 35th IAFFE Annual Conference will be held online on June 17–18, 2027, and in person on July 2–4, 2027, at Okayama University, Okayama, Japan, in collaboration with the Japan Association for Feminist Economics (JAFFE). 

2. What is this year's conference theme? The theme is Inequalities, Power Structures, and Transnational Solidarities, chaired by Sakiko Fukuda-Parr. See the full Call for Papers for details. 

3. When does the call for papers open, and when is the submission deadline?  The call for papers and the submission portal open in September 2026. The submission deadline is November 16, 2026. 

4. When does registration open? Registration opens in January 2027, at the same time that program acceptances are sent. Details will be posted here once the registration portal is live. 

5. Are there travel grants available? IAFFE offers travel grants to support scholars attending the conference, particularly those from underrepresented regions. Applications are distributed alongside the call for papers, with the same November 16, 2026 deadline. Decisions are communicated in early 2027.
